Valentines Day gift guides for kids

Valentine’s day in my house is a time to show each other we care. We don’t spend a ton on gifts. It’s usually just candy and something small. Valentine’s day should be more about actions than gifts. If you are in need of ideas, here are some gift guides I have put together by gender and age groups. This post contains affiliate links. I may receive a small Commission at no cost to you.

Making the day special

I love to see the kids faces when they walk down the stairs in the morning and see the balloons and smell a hot breakfast waiting for them. Week day breakfast at our house is usually a toaster strudel, pop tart or cereal. To make the morning special, I bake a breakfast casserole that I prepare the night before. Waffles in the toaster with scrambled eggs and fruit is a quick but a little extra option as well.

Before they wake up, I decorate the breakfast nook with balloons and a valentines day banner. If you do not have the time or energy to do any of these things, it’s ok. One grand gesture is all you need. Swing by the drive through on the way home or have a carnation or balloon sent to them at school. Anything big or small to let them know you care, is all that is needed.

I hope this post was helpful. Happy Valentines Day!

XOXO
