Essential oils

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to take a few minutes and jot down some ways that I use my oils daily. The most popular way to use your oils is with diffusing. I love smells. probably one of my favorite ways to use oils. I will put “kid genius” or “kid power” in there diffuser when the kids are doing there school work or “Purification” when I’m cleaning. Any citrus will be a good motivator. Lavender is very relaxing when we are trying to wind down for bed time. There are so many fun and delicious combinations to diffuse. The printouts that have come with my young living membership through nestingwell are very helpful and pretty. I put out seasonal ones in a frame by my diffuser. So cute!

Next up on my list of things to change was my cleaning products. I often wondered when I was spraying different cleaners and sanitizers, “what am I putting into the air for my family to breath?” That weight has been lifted off my shoulders now when I use my home made cleaners.  I use thieves concentrate for my all purpose cleaner and soft scrub. So far I am happy with how these two have performed. I use vinegar, cornstarch and oils for my window cleaner and witch hazel and oils in my fabric refresher. These also work just as good as the ones with chemicals in them. I have a handy graphic to share with you as well. These are just a few ways to enjoy your oils. This month I am switching to the Theives laundry detergent. I have been using what ever plant based one I could find at amazon. Lately I feel like my laundry is looking dingy and after a week or two they don’t smell fresh anymore. I will be trying out the laundry detergent hack and the scent booster from nesting well, I will keep you posted on that.

When you buy your starter kit, you will receive recipe cards that are specific to all of the oils in your kit so that you can get started as soon as you get your it! I want to stress that there is no obligation to sell young living when you sign up and you do not have to make monthly purchases to keep up your membership. I do because I joined essential rewards. This is totally optional. I knew when I purchased my kit that I wanted a big change in my house and my wellness routines so I wanted to purchase other things besides oils. The more you buy the more you save. Because I joined essential rewards, with each purchase I earn points towards free products. Everyone is different and has different needs. You can buy just the kit and replenish yours oils as needed without joining essential rewards. At any point if you notice that you are buying pretty regularly you can always sign up later. I hope this helps clear up any questions you may have.
