5 Ways To Simplify A Birthday Party

Try these simple tips to help ease the stress of the big day! After all you should be enjoying the party too!

1. Buy and blank cake and decorate it yourself. I purchased mine from my local grocery store (food lion). They keep these cakes on the shelf year-round. Walmart has blank ones too. Just add a paper topper or a matching toy for the theme of the party.

2. Use the Piñata as the party favor. So many times, I throw away those little toys inside of party favors because the kids just do not play with them. Instead, buy a cute cup that matches your party theme ($0.98 from Walmart) you get an activity and party favor all in one.

3.Order food instead of making it. I usually buy pizza but have also bought party trays from Walmart. Clean up is a breeze because you do not have any dishes to wash. I will also make a simple fruit tray and serve chips and dip.

4. Save decorations from previous years. Nothing says party like a balloon garland. To buy the kit is expensive but if you have the plastic tape from a previous garland all you need are balloons. I also use leftover streamers and balloon weights as well. A basic decorating kit for your party theme can easily be purchased from amazon anywhere from $16 (mine from this year) on up. We have used our baseball theme decorations 3 times already. I don’t waste a ton of space storing these. One medium size tote in the attic is all that I have.

5. Nothing will make your loved one feel more special than to start there special day with balloons and breakfast. Keep it simple and assemble a breakfast casserole the night before or prebuy pastries. Eggs and some OJ will make
